Settlers Beach
Settlers Beach is one part of the Cossack Heritage Trail and a fantastic spot for an afternoon stop or swim. The beach is accessible by 2 wheel drive and camping is possible in the designated camping spots. There are no facilities so please take your trash with you. The Beach is near the old town of Cossack. Remember to stay respectful in the Pilbara.
The Cossack Heritage trail is a 6km long trail that brings you along with old sites and original stone buildings. Eight of those buildings have been restored. The Heritage Trail tells the story of the people who lived and worked in Cossack over 100 years ago. Settlers Beach is one of the spots on the trail, and little information signs tell you the history of this distant north west town.
There are large trees that offer extensive shade and a fantastic spot to relax on the beach. It is a popular spot for locals to go swimming and relaxing in the sun. There is also a Readers Lookout a short drive away that provides beautiful views of Settlers beach and Point Samson beyond. It’s a great little spot when you are exploring the historic town of Cossack.
