Muddauthera Creek
A little known and visited creek within the Millstream National Park. Located on the cross-section of Oaker River and Dawson Creek Road, this little creek provides ample shade under a thick canopy of trees. You will know you have arrived when 20m tall gum trees surround the road that takes you through a creek crossing. Muddauthera Creek is not officially on any maps but is a nice little stop.
Take a stop on your adventure in Millstream Chichester National Park to hide away from the sun in this shaded spot. There are limited spots around the creek, so make sure to get there early to secure a spot. The water is not too deep, however, since it is flowing it provides a refreshing dip among the trees. This spot is great for an afternoon sit-down or bird watching. Muddauthera Creek is a small but lovely creek. If you are looking for a quick stop from the heat, then this is the perfect place to go.
Warning: Be careful when crossing creeks and rivers to ensure you do not get stuck in your car. Listen to road signs and advice provided by Millstream Chichester National Park. Moving water may be deeper than it appears.
